Ethics and Integrity Training

Course Objective: To provide participants with a practical and theoretical perspective on ethics and integrity, their origin, cultural influences and effective monitoring systems to assist with effective implementation and change management.

Course aims: The course aims to facilitate a greater understanding by the participants of ethics and integrity and the key role these play in organizational success and failure, including its relation to the success of mergers and acquisitions. After finishing the course the participants will understand better how to inculcate ethics and integrity throughout an organization, how to monitor and measure performance in this key area of a business, and how to plan for successful cultural integration of merging entities. The course will also assist the participants in determining how to act ethically and to identify the results of any personal actions, both negative and positive.

Course Brief: This course has been designed to pull together a number of management concepts which are generally presented in different technical courses, to present and provide the linkage to ethics and integrity as a key driver of organizations. For this reason the course does not aim to be a comprehensive ethics course

Course curriculum:

• Theoretical perspectives on ethics and integrity, exploring the origins
and their impact on corporations (Introductory)

• Assessing ethics and integrity in a corporate context.

• Planning for ethics and integrity.

• The Ethical Framework and its components, including anti corruption structures
and policies.

• Regulations and guidelines such as COSO and professional bodies' requirements.
- Monitoring systems including employee surveys and whistle blowing systems.
- The impact of culture on ethics and integrity.
- The impact of ethics and integrity on organizations.

• Managing cultural change to reflect required ethics and integrity
during mergers and acquisitions

Target Audience:

Senior executives of companies with international operations,
head office/ regional structures.

• Senior executives involved with or responsible for mergers and acquisitions

Format: Practical and interactive case studies based workshop using real life examples.

Course duration: 3 days, totalling 20 hours.
